Night in a Box
by Homeless Homies Foundation • November 29, 2010 • Uncategorized
The cold weather has ushered in the holiday season to Denver! HHF hopes everyone had a warm meal and a chance to reflect on all of the reasons to be thankful this past weekend. This Friday, Dec 3rd, we will be giving up our warm beds to sleep on the streets. Encompass, a nonprofit in Denver will be hosting “Night in a Box” to raise awareness for the hidden homeless. Over 10,000 single moms in Denver are in constant transition and survival mode. Encompass is dedicated to uplifting orphans, single moms and widows and we are excited to join with them.
Night in a box will take place at the corner of Park Avenue West and Larimier St in a parking lot from 6p – 7a. Each participant will be creating a shelter out of a cardboard box to brave the cold. Homeless Homies has created a team so if you’re interested in joining us for a culture shock of an evening or donating we’d love the support!

We did it! We are home safe and sound from a cold night it downtown Denver. Thank you so much to everybody that donated to support our Homeless Homies team. We learned a lot from stories that touched our hearts and from people that really care.
